The children were sleeping asleep in their cribs while I was strapped in with a baby on my back. Ha! The house was getting closer to being done, yet the project was still a way off. In order to furnish the house would take a lot of effort both in time and money. I would also have to go out and shop for my most-loved items. To stay within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Every week, we spent the week of Thursday through Saturday at garage sales and estate sales, buying old and new furniture. After that, I repainted and smoothed the driveway in the week. The furniture looked like this... and that's where I got my passion to restore. The issue was not whether the house was already furnished. I also had a booth at the market where I sold objects. Then I bought more that I had no idea about and outgrew the space. At home, I began hosting open houses, where over 1000 people could come in and purchase any product they liked on the 1st floor in just one weekend. Growing Days was created in the home. Alongside my flourishing business, I also grew our family. It was a balance between starting a new business and becoming a mother. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. Nora my fourth child was born in 2013. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I needed to get some down time. I decided to stop working on my antique furniture and stay home with the children. It was exactly what I needed at that time. But after a couple of months after that, the phone began to call. There were calls from people asking me to assist them in the interior design and renovations of their home. The majority of them visited my home at my open house for furniture. Once I had a few months, I took on clients at my pace. Soon I had numerous accounts as well as a home remodeling business. If you'd told me that my business would be an idea for the DIY Network show, I might have thought you were crazy. It's true that I amused when I think of the idea.
