Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. One of her first Broadway shows included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her performance in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel won her an award for the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed actors and directors for stage productions and on television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC as a Hulu Original. Ashford will return to Broadway on March 20, 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that produced Hamilton. Ashford has most recently played Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment based on the crisis in America that picked across the country. Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment hearings in over a century. She was the star of two seasons of CBS comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Other Broadway roles for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance, she was awarded a Tony Award nomination. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and brought up in Denver is now based in Los Angeles and New York.
